Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell an award for the Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition, she serves as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
